Locate and Fix Black, White and Gray Points in Your Image Using the Info Palette (6/7/CS)

Ever wonder how you can find the minimum, maximum and intermediate density areas in an image? Well, it's easy. Open your image then click Window then Info (In Photoshop 6 it's Show Info). In the upper-left hand corner of the Info palette you will see values for the Red, Blue and Green channels. Move you mouse pointer over the image and watch the channels change. Locate the black point by targeting an area that reads as close to 0, 0 and 0 as you can find. White is 255, 255, 255 and gray is 128, 128, 128.
