Use the Measure Tool to Straighten a Crooked Photo (CS)

This is truly a cakewalk. OK, let's set-up the scenario. You are getting ready to take that leap off those high cliffs into the ocean. Your buddy has the camera. As you jump, he snaps off a few photos. Can't you just hear him? "Oh yeah man, that was sweeeet. Dude, that is going to be the picture of the year". Well, it most likely will be but only with the help of Photoshop. When you plug the camera into your PC to download the photo, you notice that the picture is off kilter a bit because your buddy was so "into the moment" of capturing your "studliness" that it looks like you are jumping into the sky and not the ocean. Picture of the year, huh? Just wait...

Open the photo up in Photoshop. Grab the Measure Tool (It is on the fly out under the Eyedropper Tool). Locate the horizon on your photo and draw a line from the left to the right. Then, click on Image, Rotate Canvas, Arbitrary and click OK. Now, use the Crop Tool to get rid of the extra boundary around your photo and you are game! Check it - this is the last step and probably most important of them all. Call your buddy and say, "SWEET"!
