When creating digital imagery, you may want to consider using the Paste Into command. Normally, if you copy an object and choose Paste from the Edit menu, the object is placed onto a new layer within your workspace. If you use Paste Into, the object is placed on the layer that you have selected or directly onto another object you have selected.
